Does Ernie Tierkel, wherever he may be, know about this?

I’m sure that was exciting work, Larry Blumen. It’s quite a bit different than my area of research.

Chad Haney Actually, I wasn’t doing research. After he retired from CDC, Tierkel became the Director of Communicable Diseases at the Delaware State Health Department. I was on assignment from CDC to run the State Immunization Program, in Tierkel’s Bureau. I liked the man. He was a great guy.

How could a bat get in to a jar of alcohol, and why would it stay for 30 years?
