Nikon Small World challenge 2018

I wished The Atlantic would have reminded people that these are often colorized. When you use fluorescent microscopy the images are greyscale and people often colorize them later. Note, a lot of the images are NOT fluorescent.

It’s hard to believe some of those pics were things magnified only four times. I would have imagined more like 20X or 30X. Like the one of that mite on the antenna.

Cherch Cherch indeed. I had fun trying to guess what they were before reading each caption.

I see from one of your comments that you have joined MeWe. I will try that out also, if for no other reason than to follow you. Thus far I have only joined pluspora (owned by Diaspora). It took 30 seconds to sign up, and I tested out one post so far. It was easy (it has formatting!) and the final post looked very slick, much more so than here. My post was on Willie Nelson and the pic was big, crystal clear, and vivid. Thought that might interest you, in light of your material.
