    There’s merit in knowing when you’re beaten and moving on. Humans are exceptionally bad at this, but that might explain our evolutionary investment in technology.

    Michael Verona also, we are often bad at choosing non-lethal confrontations. Of course that’s an American phenomenon.

    I think this parallels business in many regards, and that we’re not done for.

    We learn, we get better at what we do, and we learn when to quit.

    A lot of it is simply down to posturing, also.
